Tuna Waldorf Salad

Forget the old school greasy waldorf salad that makes you cringe. This Tuna Waldorf Salad is a healthy and supercool version packed full of fresh, crunchy ingredients and superfoods that will leave you feeling charged and ready to take on the rest of the day.

This tuna waldorf salad is packed full of fibre, which is essential for good digestive health and an absolute necessity if your goal is to lose weight.

The yummy crunchy walnuts are a great source of Omega 3 fats, which is important for healthy brain function as well as skin and nails.

Kale, which is one of my favourite superfoods is packed full of vitamins and minerals that aid detoxification and help keeping your liver healthy.

Celery is a fibrous and high water content vegetable that will not only keep you feeling full for longer but also keep your body more hydrated.



Serves 4

  • 2 large tins of Tuna
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Bunch Kale
  • ¼ Celery, diced
  • 1 Green Apple, diced
  • 100g Walnuts, roughly chopped

Option: Top with 1 tbsp flax seeds for an extra crunch and fiber



  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small garlic clove, pressed
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  1. Wash and shred the kale with a knife or food processor, and massage the leaves with 1 tbsp of oil for 1-2 minutes until soft and coated with oil. (I kept the stems)
  2. In a large bowl mix together kale, celery, walnuts, tuna and apple.
