I hate seeing all the so-called “body toning supplements” out there, filled with useless ingredients that won’t do anything to help you achieve the sexy body you’ve worked so hard for.

I want to cover a few supplements which are cheap and proven to provide results that aren’t just placebo.

They will help you get that flatter stomach, improve digestion, and give your metabolism a boost.

 

Proven Supplement #1 – Prebiotics

You’ve probably heard of probiotics, but prebiotics is an important part of the equation.

Prebiotics are food for the healthy bacteria in your gut. The bacteria that affect everything from your digestion to your metabolism, to your energy levels.

Taking prebiotics will slowly shift your body’s ratio of harmful bacteria to good bacteria.

 

Proven Supplement #2 – The RIGHT Probiotic

The problem with most probiotic supplements is the bacteria get killed by your stomach acid before they can reach your intestines.

So, how did we get beneficial probiotics before the days of supplements?

 

From the soil

Most food we ate was literally covered in small amount of soil filled with SBOs (soil based probiotics). We weren’t carefully washing our fruits and veggies before eating them.

Now, I’m not telling you to go out and eat a handful of dirt. There’s a better way.

If you live a high-stress life, this may just be the best thing you’ve read all day. I started taking this supplement months ago to help support my adrenal glands and protect my body against stress.

It is one of my favorite herbs to help the adrenals because it is considered an adaptogen, which means it helps the body adapt to stressors by fine-tuning your stress response.

It’s also used to help combat fatigue, boost memory, and increase work capacity to

improve productivity. It tends to have a calming effect on the central nervous system, which in turn promotes appropriate sex and stress hormone production.

I recommend this to my clients who struggle with tiredness and fatigue caused by stress.

These are the women who generally have trouble losing the stubborn centimeters from around their waistline.

It is also great for PMS.

 

Proven Supplement #4 – Psyllium Fiber

One of the most important reasons you should eat more whole foods is fiber.

Fiber fills you up, promotes healthy digestion, and improves your levels of healthy gut bacteria.

It’s also inversely correlated with literally hundreds of different illnesses and conditions – what this means is, the MORE fiber you eat – the LESS likely you are to suffer from these conditions.

The cheapest and most proven form of fiber supplementation is psyllium fiber. You can take a scoop before a meal and you’ll find improvements in digestion and you’ll feel fuller, quicker.

BONUS TIP: if you want to take advantage of the benefits of different types of fiber try mixing a 2:1:1 ratio of psyllium fiber : apple pectin : guar gum.

This combo is amazing at relieving digestive problems and reducing appetite and cravings.

 

Remember, supplements have their name for a reason.

They are designed to SUPPLEMENT a healthy diet and exercise plan.
