Ingredients: (serves 3-4)

 

  • 1 tbsp virgin coconut oil or olive oil
  • 500g turkey mince or extra lean pork mince
  • 1 zucchini grated (optional)
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish or oyster sauce
  • 8-10 large lettuce leaves
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce (optional)
  • salt & pepper to taste

 

Topping options:

 

  • Fresh coriander
  • Soybean sprouts
  • Sliced sugar snap peas
  • Sesame seeds
  • Fresh sliced chili
  • Chopped spring onions
  • Fresh lime

 Method:

 

  1. Heat oil in a large pan, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add mince and cook until browned.
  3. Add grated zucchini and the sauces, simmer and stir occasionally for 5 mins.
  4. Serve with any or all of the above toppings
